Strahan

The tourist and fishing village of Strahan is an important part of the west coast's infrastructure. Many thousands of tourists visit the township annually to travel deep into the Gordon River World Heritage Area on modern cruise boats that depart daily from Strahan Wharf. Strahan is also home to a sizeable fishing fleet which fish the waters of the west coast for crayfish and abalone.
