Port of Stanley

Current Phase

TasPorts has substantially completed project works on the floating pontoon at the Port of Stanley, after it assumed responsibility for the project in August 2021.

Tasmanian-owned company, BridgePro Engineering, has been the principal contractor, working with TasPorts to successfully complete the project.

The more than $1.5 million project saw the construction and installation of the floating pontoon facility, as well as the remediation of approximately 50 metres of the sheet pile wall in Fishermans Dock.

Now open to the public, vessel owners/operators are to determine the suitability of the facility restrictions for their vessel, in regards to declared depths, vessel overall length and displacement tonnage.
