Macquarie Wharf Redevelopment

The redevelopment of Macquarie Wharf will position the Port of Hobart as the international gateway to the Southern Ocean, actively supporting world-class Antarctic exploration and scientific research whilst also enabling growth in key trade areas such as bulk export (forestry), containers and tourism (cruise ships).

Selfs Point Fire System Upgrade

TasPorts is investing more than $8 million to secure and support the future of southern Tasmania’s fuel supply, at the Selfs Point fuel transit facility, located on the Derwent River, approximately five kilometres north of Hobart’s city centre.

Burnie Export Gateway

The Burnie Export Gateway initiative will lay the foundation for exponential growth in Tasmanian mineral exports to global markets, enabling capacity for larger vessels to berth and ensuring fit-for-purpose terminal infrastructure. Importantly, this project will also enable growth in other commodities such as forestry and container export.
