Hobart - Brooke Street Forecourt

Hobart - Brooke Street Forecourt

The pedestrian-friendly forecourt beside Brooke Street Pier is home to the Hobart Twilight Market and offers a central waterfront location well-suited to small event activations. While the Pier is independently managed, it adds vibrancy to the area with its floating market space, bars, restaurants, and the Mona Roma ferry service.

Currie Harbour overlooks the Bass Strait and features a large parkland area managed by TasPorts that’s available for hire. With plenty of open space, it’s well-suited to community gatherings and local events — and is also home to the popular Festival of King Island.

Stanley

All TasPorts venues are available for dry hire, giving you the flexibility to personalise and tailor the space to your event. To make planning easier, TasPorts can assist with waste management, cleaning, and security, and can recommend a trusted network of preferred suppliers. Additional charges may apply.

As active port areas, availability is limited at certain times of the year due to ongoing operations and cruise commitments, so early planning is recommended.

All events held on TasPorts land, large or small, are required to:

  • Complete a hire agreement

  • Hold Public Liability Insurance

  • Provide a Risk Assessment

Depending on your event, you may also need:

  • Place of Assembly Permit

  • Traffic Management Plan

  • Emergency Management Plan

  • Liquor Licence and Food Permit

  • Temporary Occupancy Permit
