Last Thursday, TasPorts warmly welcomed more than 100 attendees to its fourth annual Industry Day.
This event is an important part of TasPorts’ corporate calendar and provides a unique opportunity to directly engage with contractors and consultants on our robust project pipeline.
The industry briefing provided the opportunity to highlight the breadth of projects in our sustaining project pipeline, as well as the significance of upcoming major projects, in particular TasPorts’ Macquarie Wharf Redevelopment Project.
This year’s event also enabled TasPorts to seek feedback directly from industry on our procurement approach, in particular for Major Projects. This feedback will help inform our procurement methodologies as we shift to tendering on a number of strategically important projects.
The organisation is pursuing the biggest capital infrastructure program in a generation and our partnership with industry is a critical foundation for successful project delivery.
